THE LAYER CACAO CAKE:

Hello Friends. Hope you are doing well. While I was watching some cooking videos on YouTube, I came across this amazing “layery” cacao cake. So I thought why not try it myself and see if it works. And guess what… It worked and came out exactly like the pictures. Super easy and fun to make and all the ingredients are basic and simple to find. Keep in mind that if I can do it you can too. What are you waiting for? Let’s go ahead and get started.

You will need:

A cake mold (long like on the picture)

4 eggs

150ml milk

150ml oil

150gr sugar

250g flour

Vanilla sugar

16g baking powder

For the chocolate:

3 big s of unsweetened cacao powder

3 big s of sugar (brown sugar in preference)

Nutella to decorate the top of the cake

Some sprinkles.

Directions:

First of all and with a spoon, mix the brown sugar (not the 150gr) and the unsweetened cacao powder. You are going to use it later on. Also, make sure that you have put enough butter and flour in the cake mold so that the cake does not stick.

In a blender, put the eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar. After mixing that, add the milk and the oil. Blend it all together.

Next, put your mixture in a bowl so that we can go to the next step.

Now, you will add the baking powder to the flour which you will then add to your cake mixture little by little to make it easier to blend.

When everything has come nicely you are done and the fun part begins.                                   At this point, preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Take you cake mold and put a very thin layer of the mixture with a spoon. I put 7 spoons on mine but it differ depending on the size of your mold. After that put it in the oven for about 5 min. When cooked, sprinkle the mixture of the chocolate and sugar until it covers the first layer of the cake (like it’s shown on the picture). Don’t put a lot! As soon as it covers the cake you are good. Now you add another layer of the mixture of the cake on the top of the chocolate (with a spoon like the first step). Put it on the oven. When cooked, sprinkle the chocolate and sugar then the mixture of the cake; just like before. Continue with the same process until you finish your mixture.IMG_2003

Of course when the cake is done, you need to decorate it. I chose Nutella but you choose whatever you want. Anyways, spread the chocolate on the top of the cake and sprinkle it with some chocolate sprinkles/chip. TADAAA.     ENJOY.         🙂
