10 things to do to Beat Boredom

How are you! Hope you are having a safe day!   🙂

Today I am back with a very special post. It is my first ever collaboration and I am so excited to be sharing it with you. I am collaborating with the beautiful a brunette blogger.

When you first start summer break, you are all excited and want to do a lot of things. But then few weeks later you realize you have nothing to do  ,therefore bored. Oh! And your lovely friends call you from Hawaii, telling you about their journey and adventures.  😉 ~~You don’t have to travel to feel happy and enjoy summer. You can create your own universe and be even happier with yourself.

1- Take care of yourself:

When working or studying, we don’t care about our looks, skin, hair… since we are too busy and don’t have enough time for it. Now that you are free, you have no excuses.

My Tips: In a notebook, write down all the masks’ recipes that you like and think will work. Divide them into sections: Hair masks, Face masks.

2 – Go out, free your mind!!

Don’t think too much about what you want to do. Sometimes not thinking is also a good think. Remember when you were busy and wished you could have just one day to chill and not think about anything? Well now you can!  So, go out and enjoy the warm weather. Breathe fresh air while enjoying a delicious ice Cream, forget about everything and let your body relax from the daily stress that it goes through.

3- Go grab a book… Now!!

Honestly, I am still working on it. (I am kinda forcing myself   🙂     )

Seriously! If you want to get yourself into reading, you have to start right now. Now that you are free, you can visit websites, go to libraries. It is not easy to get yourself into reading. And to do so, you have to like the story, to feel the words and imagine it as if you are part of the story. That’s why you have to take your time in order to find the type of books that you will enjoy reading.

4-Try a new style:

Clothes:

If you are a pants/ leggings kinda girl ( definitely me  😉  ), try to change your style by wearing more dresses, skirts. What about the colors? Forget about the black and grey items and go for some bright colors. Recently I went shopping and I bought a blue and pink top, a blue dress and another orange one. I am also wearing heels instead of converse.

Makeup:

And all those makeup tutorials on YouTube that we just watch and never actually take the time to do/practice them. If you are bored and don’t know what to do, why not watch a makeup tutorial and do it at the same time. To start, I will try to recreate an “everyday makeup look”.

5-Cleaaan !

Here is a boring one yet a very important idea to kill boredom and bacteria/ dust in your house. Put your hair in a ponytail, put on some good music and enjoy cleaning. It might seem tiring, but trust me it’s very relaxing. You don’t have to clean everything at once. Just organize your time and clean little by little.

6- Make your house smell like a bakery, pastry… !!

Cooking/baking  is one of my favourite hobbies. Just like cleaning, it might look tiring but trust me it’s so relaxing. You just forget about the world and focus on what you are cooking; tasting it, adding more spices, blending your cake mixture.

My tips: In a notebook, write down all the recipes that you were able to make. You will have your own cook book by the end of summer!!     🙂

7-Redecorate your room:

Change the colors, your bedspreads, put on some “summery” decorations. Add some fairylights, switch the position of your bed and nightstand. You will feel all the difference!

8- Sport:

This might sound cliché, but you have to do it. Not only it’s good for your mental and physical health, but also after a good workout you will feel productive.

9- Friends and family?

If you have siblings you can play with them, watch TV and  draw and paint together, and much more. You can also invite your friends to come over and have a little sleepover, talk about your interests and share opinions.

10- Improve your blog:

  • Change the theme.
  • Follow new bloggers.
  • Talk about new topics.
  • Prepare a schedule…

  1. Great list you have here! I love that you included self-care (people often forget to do this). It is interesting that you have provided the idea of making a list for face masks – I have a few in mind that I want to try so I will certainly try to make a list like you have suggested! I also like how you have listed ‘go out, free your mind’. Being out in nature or just going out for a walk is great, besides who can say no to ice cream? 😉
