Crochet: My new obsession

I hope you are doing well and having a safe day!

I always get excited when I am writing posts like this; posts through which I am sharing with you new sides of my personality, something I always enjoy.

I have a lot of hobbies, and I can’t pick a favourite one. My tastes and interests change constantly. Crochet is my new hobby.

My mom actually is a professional. She started it a long time ago, and I’ve always wanted to try it out. Since I’ve moved out for College, I couldn’t learn it. But when I came back this summer, I decided to give it a go. I LOVE it! It looks easy, but trust me it’s a challenging activity. To be honest, I’ve almost gave up (sometimes I get angry 😬 when it doesn’t look good or I miss something  🙈 ), but luckily my mom is always encouraging me and helping me correct my mistakes.

I am so happy with the little piece I’ve managed to knit, and excited to share it with you. I can’t wait to do more. It’s hard work but worth it!

  2. Knitting is one of the best hobbies in the world! My mom knits and I’m IN LOVE with this her obsession! She has already made a scarf, a jacket, two or free cute gorgeous hats and more and more… And, let’s be honest, handmade pieces of stuff (clothes, bookmarks, accessories and etc) are made with love, so when I wear my Pom-Pom scarf it feels like my mom’s hugging, like she wants me to get warm. Incredible! I’m glad you enjoy the crochet! I think that’s the hobby of the soul. Your results in knitting are insane, you’re doing great!!!! 🙌🏻💜
    And, yeah, I get “crochet” and “knit” in similar way, sorry for that 😜

  4. I only know how to make hats and scarves on a loom but I want to expand and learn crochet too 😂 I tried it once but the beginning is so hard. I feel like once you get the hang of it, it’ll be easy?

    1. Wow that’s incredible. Hats and scarves ?! 👍👏👏. Oh don’t worry as soon as you start it (I do recommend that you know someone who knows how to crochet is order to guide you), you will fibd it easy. You Go girl. I am sure you will be so good at it. If I can you will too. 👊👍

  7. My favorite hobby is definitely drawing. And you’re so right! I think learning new hobbies is a great way to enrich your life and broaden what you know of the world. And if it’s not for you, then at least you know. Great post! I’ve also tried crochet back in high school, didn’t last two months 😅 Hope you have fun tho!

      1. Thank you for following!!! ❤ I've been crocheting my whole life but it's really only been the past few years that I've felt confident enough to make something other than blankets. My advice to anyone that is learning to crochet – be brave!!! If it's not working out it's no big deal, pull it apart and try again. It won't be long before you won't even remember a time when you didn't know how to crochet. I'm really excited to see what comes off of your hook!!! 😀

  13. What a great accomplishment!! My mum tried to teach me and I still have a started piece with the needle still in it to be finished.. I’m so bad at it.. but like you said.. good to keep trying at the things you are not great at. Nice to have connected here ☺️☺️
