Hello my friends!
I hope you are all doing well.
I’ve been wanting to post my makeup routine for a long time, but I’ve never had the courage to do it. Simply because I don’t know a lot of things such as: the name of brushes, how to explain the steps… I am sure I am not the only one struggling with this. At the same time I don’t have to; I love make up, colors and I want it to be part of my blog. I didn’t include expensive/ luxury beauty products. I am using inexpensive but still good quality products. So here is my everyday makeup routine (Summer edition):
BB cream and powder:
I don’t use foundations on a daily basis. I prefer BB cream because it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin (which means comfortable for the day) but still has some coverage. I’ve been using Garnier Pure-Active Anti Imperfection in light. And to apply it, I simple use my fingers. 🙂
Then I set my BB cream with Glam Up paris Compact Powder using my favourite kabuki . (it’s pink and it has pearls hihi. Btw I had to google how to write kabuki).
Countour and Highlighter:
Because the BB cream makes me look pale, I add a little bit of color to my face with the Catrice cosmetics Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette in 010 Ashy Radiance. Then with a Round Blending face brush, mine is the Zesta Blending Brush, I try (not really 😉 ) to contour my face.
And since this palette comes with a highlighter, I highlight my face everyday. It gives a very light shimmer to the face, which is appropriate for an everyday look. I apply it with either with my fingers (for more pigmentation), or simple with a Fan Brush.
The Blush step depends on my mood. I don’t put blush every single day because sometimes I like a bronzy look so I skip this step. However if I want to, I will use Color Me blush (light pink with a peachy touch) or Glam Up paris blush (this one is very pigmented). I prefer the first one though.
Next step is my eyes. I enjoy applying eyeshadow, mixing colors and blending.
My go to eyeshadow palettes are:
- Glam’s Make Up Glam and Glow Intensity Eye Shadow in Gold Addict
- Ushas Matte Eyeshadow 2.
Start with n°1 by applying it all over my eyelid with a fluffy brush ( the wooden brush on the picture).
With a flat eyeshadow brush, I apply n°2 which is a light brown (I would like to call it caramel brown) into my crease to give it some definition. I go back with the fluffy brush to blend it even more. Blend, blend and blend 🙂
Finish by adding n°3 which is beautiful silver color to give the Eye look a little glow and shimmer, using a sponge eyeshadow brush. I use this brush because it helps applying the shimmer easily by keeping the pigmentation of the color.
I usually line my eyes with the Astra Italy Illuminating Line eye pencil in black. But lately I’ve been loving the Glam Up Diamond Eye Pencil. I love this one because it has some shimmer/sparkles in it which adds a nice glow to the eyes.
I add mascara. I love the Golden Rose Instant Full Volume Cat Walk. It’s easy to apply and adds volume and length to the lashes.
To finish off the look I add some lipstick. I love, for a daily basis, to put a “transparent” lip gloss. But if I want some color, I will line my lips with the Kiss Beauty Super mat Lip pencil and put the Kiss Beauty lipstick (13) all over my lips.
That’s it. I really hope you guys enjoy this post. Let me know what you think of this post.
Now it’s your turn: What is your favourite makeup step? What are you favourite eyeshadow colors?
