DIY: Heart Plastic Box for Jewelry

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all doing well, and I hope you are enjoying the holidays 🎄.

Today, I decided to share with you this super cute Diy. It’s a little box made from a Coca Cola bottle that you can use to keep your jewelry (you know those jewelry that we leave everywhere and that make a mess in the room 😂).

I always like Diys that involve recycling old packages of products and adding some creativity. You can use this Diy to decorate your room or as a gift for your sisters or friends. I really enjoyed making it and it was surprisingly quick and easy to make. So if you are ready, let’s go ahead and get started.

You will need:

  • 1 plastic bottle.
  • Glue.
  • a ruler.
  • Card stock (card paper) of any color
  • Pencil
  • Ribbons and decorations.
  • scissor.

1- Cut the middle part of the bottle.

2- Take one of the sides and push it to the inside to get the shape of a heart.

3- Use the shape of the heart that you got to draw similar heart on the card paper.

4- Before cutting the initial heart, draw another one just above it (1 to 1.5 cm).

5- Put glue on the borders of first heart

and carefully place the plastic heart on the glue. Make sure that you don’t move until it’s completely dry.

6- Cut little “rectangles” all over the remaining part of the heart

then glue individually the little pieces.

8- To cover the little pieces, use a cute ribbon and glue it all around.

9- Use the other side of the box to draw another heart.

10- Cut a ribbon (using the card paper) that has the same length as the heart (1.5 to 2 cm).

Glue it all around. I suggest that you go section by section. Don’t move to another part until the previous one is completely dry.

For decoration:

Use cute ribbons and pearls to cover any an even cuts on the plastic box;  it also makes it extra lovely.

I decided to glue this metallic material on top of the cover.

And for the final touch, I added this big bow. I put a little bit of cotton in the bottom to keep the jewelry in place.

Tip of the day 💍: Put your jewelry on a piece of cotton to avoid color changing.
