Sweden – Malmo

Hej! Hur är du?

Jag är så glad att ha dig tillbaka på min blogg. That’s about all I know in Swedish 😅.

How are you all doing? Thank you for visting my blog.

In today’s post, I am sharing with you some pictures I took in Molmö, Sweden. This was one of my favorite trips. I was particularly mesmerized by the Turning Torso, the tallest building in Scandinavia, which officially opened in 2005. I was so interested in the story and inspiration behind its design. In fact, it was inspired by Twisting Torso, a sculpture by Calatrava; “a white marble piece based on the form of a twisting human being” (wikipedia, 2021).

The Optimistic Orchestra was also one of my favorite works of art. You come across it as you leave the Stortorget along Södergatanm. Created in 1985 by Yngve Lundell, it is a representation of a musical marching band.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Now it’s your turn: Have you been to Sweden before? If so, what city did you visit?

Hej då!
