My Current Fall Favorites

Doing a “current favorites” post during my favourite season, fall, is just perfect. I thought I would share with you some of the bits and bobs that I enjoy using/ doing, and that make my “fall experience” even better. PS: Candles are not included 😅

Beauty:

Makeup:

🔸 As you might know by now, I am not adventurous when it comes to makeup. However, I try to experiment new looks every now and then. Usually eye pencil is always the option I go for when I am doing any eye look; probably because it’s easier to apply than an eyeliner (especially because I mess up many times before I get the perfect line). Recently, I decided to switch to eyeliner, and I am simply obsessed. I love the definition it gives to the eye, and how precise it looks. My current favourite eyeliner is the Maybelline Lasting Drama in n°10 Charcoal black (Matte). Very easy to apply and dries really quickly (it’s not waterproof, though).

🔸 The Maybelline Super stay Matte ink in the shade 05 Loyalist has been my favourite liquid lipstick for months now. I got it last summer and I’ve been wearing it since then. Although I prefer it on a tanned skin, I do like how it looks with simple and natural makeup looks. It stays on all day long and it’s not sticky which I like.

🔸 I am surprised that blush has made it to one of my “current favorites” posts! I am not a huge fan of blushes, mainly because I never find THE blush that complements my pale skin. The other day I was looking through essence bronzers and I saw this beautiful blush. It is the Essence Mosaic Blush in the shade 35 Natural Beauty. I love that it contains different shades of pink, with some darker than others, but most importantly it has a highlighter in it which I am in love with. It gives you this lovely glow that makes your skin look glowy and healthy.

🔸 The Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Volum’ (Black) has been my go-to mascara for the past couple of months. It makes the eyelashes look long and full, which, I mean, what we need in a mascara really!

Nail polish: 

🔸 My favourite part about Fall season is playing with different nail polish colors. Dark colors are my go-to options. I am obsessed with purple, brown, burgundy… But I also find myself going back to nude colors. Here are my 4 favourite colors. The sparkly purple one is so adorable. It looks beautiful and adds a girly touch to any look, which I adore. These nail polishes go on nicely and wear really well. You need to do minimum 2 coats to get a good color payoff, but it stays on perfectly for days. Essence is a brand that I’ve been into recently, and I am still interested in trying out other products. 🔸Speaking of nail polish, while editing this post, I came across a quote about nail polish that I find too cute not to share:

“A woman is only helpless while her nail polish is drying” 😍

Skin Care:

🔸 We all know how the cold weather can make the skin super dry and dull-looking. I am not the best when it comes to moisturizing my skin, however I try to do it from time to time. I’ve been enjoying using this Garnier Respons Body nourishing lotion virgin olive oil. It has the 2 things that I really look forward in a body moisturizer: Non- greasiness and nice (not strong) smell.

Fashion:

Clothes items:

🔸 The combination of Fall and Fashion mainly means one thing: Big cozy warm sweaters. Surprise, right? I live in this grey sweater, and it’s actually easy to style and goes with everything.

– My favourite fashion item of this season has to be those booties. I basically wear them every day with all my outfits and I am obsessed. Also, wearing heels is not always my go-to option, but there is something about heels that boost my confidence and change my mood! Comment bellow if you can relate to this.

– Beanies are THE falliest (is that even a word) clothing item. You can wear it with a simple outfit and still look stylish, cute, and cover the greasy hair.

Accessories:

🔸 Again, this is something I didn’t think I would enjoy wearing. But, I am simply obsessed with hoops, and I’ve been wearing them every single day for the past few weeks. They just put any look together and look effortlessly beautiful with any hair style too.

 

Activity:

🔸 Reading… finally grabbing a book and actually reading it. But you know what? The key to get back to reading is to choose a book that YOU will enjoy. I tend to follow the trend and pick up the popular books that we see on social media, and turns out I don’t like them as much as I tought I would. It’s not always true but generally I almost only like books that I carefully choose. Reading has been part of my daily routine, and surprisingly I’ve been looking forward to this quite part of the day. Sometimes I fancy reading in the morning, sometimes late at night. Either way, I try to make sure I don’t lose track and stay consistent with it.

Music:

🔸 Audrey Hepburn — Moon River.

I just discovered this song recently, and it has been on repeat ever since. It instantly brings all the cozy and positive vibes; which I adore. Simple things like this that positively impact my day and put me in such a good mood.
